Grattacielo Torino (de)

At the beginning of 2015, the new skyscraper Intesa Sanpaolo bank head office has been inaugurated in Turin (Italy); Intesa Sanpaolo Group is the 1st bank in Italy and the 4th in Europe.

The project of this building (executed by Renzo Piano and his team), has adopted modern and innovative technologies to control building automation and energy efficiency.
One of these is featured by CONCENS linear actuators, distributed in Italy by Setec Spa.

At the top of the skyscraper there are three floors build as a bioclimatic greenhouse that requires a natural ventilation.

To regulate air ventilation, the adopted solution is composed by 80 modules made of three vertical windows which are actuated in parallel at the ends (top and bottom) by two linear actuators.

The goal of the customer (the supplier of the window modules) was to have an actuator with:

• Adequate push and pull force.
• Minimum visual impact (compactness).
• Low voltage supply.
• Synchronized movement of each couple of actuators.
