More and more big cities are adopting new solutions for the parking areas in order to give high efficiency to the services, improving level of security in underground parkings and reducing gas exhaust from the cars. This aims to the development of automated parkings which handle and move cars without drivers.
The car, which engine is turned off, will be positionned in the first parking space available, avoiding the car user to do too many turns looking for a space inside the parking area.
In this specific case, Setec took care of a project with a major Turin hospital for a lifting system for vehicles which had been studied with 4 ballscrew screw jacks SEL 50 S VT and travelling screw.
The transmission is allowed thanks to a central motorized bevel gearbox, to a couple of gearboxes connected to the jacks and 4 shafts.
The nut of diameter 40mm and lead of 20mm is inside the screw jack and works as a rotating nut.
Screw jacks are one of the best solutions when you are looking for lifting systems at certain speed and certain loads.
Setec has imagined some layouts for the lifting systems with 2 or 4 screw jacks and with the possibility to mount a motor according to limits of space and volume and according to aesthetics requirements.
